Étienne Bessette, renowned singer-songwriter in the county music field in the province of Quebec, is recognized for his very particular way of playing the guitar and the violin. He gave a new voice to the band “Les frères Bessette”.

He participated in the great success “Prière d’un enfant” which took them on tour around the province of Quebec, in the Atlantic provinces, and the north-east of the United States. Many artists such as Marcel Martel, Paul Brunelle, Willie Lamothe, Lévis Bouliane often asked for his services, for video recordings, discs and performances.

Later on, he created the duet “Étienne et Monique” with his wife. They recorded their firsts songs in Nashville. Soon after, they became famous because of their songs: “J’ai besoin de toi”, “Lit de satin”, “Ensemble”, “C’est la fête” and others. Renowned everywhere in Quebec, they participated in various TV shows, among others a co-production with Lévis Boulianne and many more guest artists.

After 10 years on tour, sadly the duet dissolved itself. Étienne continued his tour and album recordings with his son Pascal and his daughter Melanie.
Even after 45 years of conflicts between his two passions, car racing and music, Étienne Bessette still has a passion for music and is more dynamic than ever with his songbook which contains more than 60 compositions.

With his charming style, he will surely hold you spellbound with his country-flavored songs. Étienne, now in duet with Melanie, and their musicians, offer an unforgettable performance full of emotion, rhythm, and a touch of humor.
